In response to the widespread dissatisfaction on the container terminals' and OnePort Ltd's eTR requirement, the Council has conducted a survey to find out alternative options accepted by shipping lines. The Council has found that most shipping lines accept Letter of Indemnity, Letter of Guarantee, Authorization for B/L Release, among others. Only a handful of shipping lines requires eTR after May 1st, 2006. Attached is the survey list of shipping lines and the documents they accept in exchange for the B/L.
