Hong Kong import-export sectors, logistics companies, especially SMEs, are facing tremendous difficulties in maintaining operations in the midst of the financial tsunami and economic downturn. The Hong Kong Shippers’ Council has been looking for ways to help the industry in reducing costs brought on by high fuel costs and to maintain their competitiveness. With the support and subsidy of the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council, the Council is launching a diesel discount project that involves offering Caltex stored-value card at discounted price to be used in the purchase of diesel.
